Being a year round resident on a beach resort I often have the pleasure of seeing numerous kite surfers along the beach.  Someday I wish to try this as it looks like it is alot of fun and I am sure it’s quite a thrill to fly into the air and come splashing down onto the waves and gliding across the water.

  Unfortunately for this moron in Miami, Florida, it was not so much fun to kite surf during tropical storm Fay as the high winds picked him up high into the air and caused him to literally fly across the beach until he slammed into the sand briefly before the wind catapaulted him across the beach and into a building.  Now, that’s got to hurt.  The kite surfer remains in critical condition at a Miami hospital.  Here is a news video with footage of the kite surfing accident.
