No More Money Order or Check Payments for Ebay Transactions

Ebay announced on their FAQ Checks and money orders no longer allowed

What’s changing with payments on eBay?
Beginning in late October 2008, checks and money orders will no longer be allowed as payment methods on eBay. All items appearing on eBay.com must be paid for using either:

  • PayPal (funded by PayPal account balance, credit card, debit card, bank account, PayPal Pay Later, PayPal Buyer Credit or eBay gift certificate)
  • Credit or debit card payment to a seller (through a seller’s Internet merchant account)
  • ProPay
  • Payment upon pickup

Well, this pisses me off considering that I purchase many items via ebay and I always use a US Postal Service money order.  Note further that as a seller, I prefer to be paid via a US Postal Service money order.   Ebay tells you that it’s to protect or benefit it’s users but I think that’s a load of crap.  I think it’s a move by Ebay to squeeze out more money per user considering the fact that they own paypal

Since I’m already posting about Ebay, another thing about them that is pissing me off is in regards to being an affiliate promoting them on some of my other sites.  I work real hard trying to generate traffic and making money through them and it pisses me off that so many thousands of people are committing fraud via cookie stuffing yet, it seems ebay ignores this and does not implement any protective measures to prevent this from occuring.
