The Lonely and Dark Road

Time and time again you still push me away,
Further and further, though I still never escape,
The terrible pain from the words that you say.
Can’t go on much longer with so much pain to take.

Out there, somewhere is a lonely and dark road,
Calling out to me to travel to the unknown,
But I feel as though my head’s about to explode,
Too much contemplation spinning round this cyclone.

Time and time again you still haunt me,
Day after day I can’t get you out of my head,
Living in this nightmare so long that I can’t flee,
From the fear of you hanging over my deathbed.

Out there, somewhere is a woman in a sharkskin
Calling out to me to travel to dark worlds of pain,
Though I feel as my heart’s just about to cave in,
Too long I suffered in hell, I can’t relive this again.

Time and time again I’m reminded of your face,
Night after sleepless night I think about that road,
That could have taken me away from this place,
Where I’ll eternally rot for my sins never atoned.
